Day 1: Offside Release Party

Location: Low Bar

Purpose: Celebrate and distribute a local arts newspaper. Offside will be having their release party and social hang. Our secondary goal is to connect SVN attendees with local artists, businesses, and community initiatives in a casual social setting.

Note: SVN attendees are welcome to come over after the Cowgirl dinner ends.

Evening Schedule

6:00–9:00 PM — Community Showcase

Businesses highlighted through installations and film:

  • Goldleaf Framemakers Installation: Hand carved gold framed TV featuring film highlighting New Mexico landscapes, artisans, and alternative systems.
  • (M)other Realm Farm: Table decor of freshly harvested fruits, veggies, and flowers.
  • Still to confirm: Red Sky Pottery

Featured installations and activations:

  • Offside arts newspaper available for reading
  • Interactive stop motion animation station with old issues of Offside
  • Interactive light projections
  • Rainbow waterdrops and warm fabrics decor

9:00 PM and Beyond

If attendance remains strong. If no one is there past 9, Low Bar will close on schedule. Low Bar has agreed to remain open later than normal operating hours for continued networking and informal conversations.

Day 2: Living Futures — Future of Food Systems in New Mexico

Location: Jean Cocteau Cinema

Purpose: In collaboration with 505omatic's Living Room Series, a cross-sector conversation bringing together academics, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and mutual-aid leaders to talk about how their work is designing the next generation of New Mexico's food system.
